Danville Independent Schools

Medicaid

The Danville Schools use local, state, federal, and other fiscal resources as needed to provide the specially designed instruction and related services needed by children with disabilities.  These resources may include inter-agency agreements and use of third party payments including Medicaid.  School staff must obtain written informed parental consent to access public benefits and must notify parents that their refusal to allow access to their public benefits or insurance does not relieve the schools of its responsibility to ensure that all required services are provided at no cost to the parents. The most frequently billed services include speech/language therapy, occupational and physical therapy.

Contact Amy Robbins, Director of Special Education (amy.robbins@danville.kyschools.us) for further information on Medicaid billing procedures.
