The Bluegrass Rural Regional Network serves Boyle, Clark, Estill, Garrard, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, and Powell Counties.
Who Attends the Regional Network Meetings?
Any person who lives in the Bluegrass Rural Region, and anyone who is a parent,
grandparent, foster parent, adoptive parent, or in a care-giving role with children;
or community partners who are interested in the prevention of child abuse
and neglect.
The Regional Network has its goal to build and strengthen better working
relationships between parents, Department for Community Based Services,
service providers, citizens, and faith-based organizations.
How does the Regional Network make a difference in the community?
Community partners and parents who come together and network to help children
in the community by developing ideas and ways to reduce the number of child
abuse and neglect reports in the Bluegrass Rural Region. Activities are planned
that focus on prevention.
What is my role as a Regional Network member?
As a parent or community partner, your role as a member of this group is to help
make decisions on how to allocate regional network and faith-based/fatherhood
initiative funds during the fiscal year. These funds are used for child abuse
prevention activities throughout the Bluegrass Rural communities and have been
accessed through mini-grants to the network.
