Cradle School is a parent/child program in which families are supported by Parents As Teachers (PAT) certified staff. The mission of the Cradle School program is to provide support and encouragement to parents during the crucial, early years of their children’s lives, from pre-natal to preschool age. Early brain research shows that 0-3 years of age are critical years for learning and development.
- To educate parents on the developmental stages of children pre-natal to preschool age by offering hands-on activities
- To empower parents to become engaged in their child’s early education to promote school readiness
- To teach parents techniques to manage their child’s behavior and understand and recognize age appropriate child development preventing abuse and neglect
- To make parents aware of additional community resources and agencies that support families
