The Department of Special Education is a team of professionals that believe all kids can learn. Our staff is dedicated to serving students with special needs in the least restrictive environment.
The Danville Schools provides services for children and youth with disabilities of school attendance age (3 through 21 years), consistent with standards established by law and school district policies and procedures. The district provides a variety of services for students with disabilities. These services include collaboration, resource, and special class services as determined by an Admissions and Release Committee (ARC).
Our team consists of special education teachers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, school psychologists, mental health professionals, and general education teachers.
We honor parents that are advocates for their children and partner with parents, agencies, and our community to ensure students attain their dreams. We welcome your comments, ideas, stories, partnerships, a commitment of time, membership on committees, and work sites for our students.
