During the Board of Education meeting on Feb. 20, several students and one staff member received certificates of excellence for their accomplishments.
The following Edna L. Toliver Intermediate School students received certificates of excellence at Monday's board meeting for growth areas in Fastbridge testing (pictured from left):

- 2nd grader Grayson Rowe
Danville High School Senior Lamont Doneghy received a certificate of excellence for earning the McDonald's Black History Makers of Today scholarship.
Toliver PE Teacher KT Kennedy received a certificate of excellence for starting the Zero Block Fitness Program.
