The 2024 Danville Schools Arts Hall of Fame inductees pose for a group photo on the Gravely Hall Performing Arts Center stage.
The first-ever Arts Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Nov. 2 was a big success and even included performances and poetry readings from some of the inductees.
Inductees were:
Ashley Gorley (class of 1995)
William W. Gravely, Sr. (Danville Schools faculty 1968-1984). His son and family accepted the honor on his behalf.
Larnelle Harris (class of 1965)
Heather Henson (class of 1984)
Maurice Manning (class of 1984)
Mrs. Janet Nash (Danville Schools faculty 1971-2001)
Frank X Walker (class of 1979)
Each inductee gave a speech. Gorley performed several songs he has worked on as a songwriter and music publisher, and Manning and Walker read their poetry.
