Each year, Danville High School's seniors complete their Capstone projects to showcase how they exhibit the qualities of the Portrait of a Danville Learner, areas of growth and how their experiences at DHS have shaped them as people. The students give their presentations for panels that consist of community members and staff.

Students also have the option to bring in "artifacts" that represent something about them or their experience in high school.

In the past, Capstones have taken place in May, but they were held this month, December, so that administrators and teachers could gauge student needs for the rest of the year and connect them to community partners as needed. English Teacher Laurie Pierce had an instrumental role in preparing seniors for their presentations.
