First graders at Mary G. Hogsett Primary School got the chance to showcase some of their learning for their families. Gateway presentations and xylophone performances took place May 8-14. Gateway presentations consisted of research projects. Music Teacher Heather Gover guided the students in performances singing and playing music on xylophones to show families what their students have learned in music class. They even sang a "Mary G. Hogsett Primary" themed song.
This experience gave first graders a chance to show their families what they've learned during their time at Hogsett, before they move on to second grade. Photos are from Jamie Missbach's class. The class's gateway presentations were dioramas and clay models of animals, along with research students completed on their selected animals.
