Congratulations to the following educators in the Danville Independent School District, who were selected to receive grants of $300 each for projects that will benefit students.

These grants are from the Danville Schools Education Foundation and Alumni Association (DSEFAA), which accepts donations that go toward educator grants, student experiences, scholarships and more.

The DSEFAA received a large number of grant requests this year, 46, which was narrowed down to the 11 that will receive the grants. The DSEFAA awarded a total of $3,300.

Funds will be used to subscribe again to a database that provides information and scripts for speakers on the DHS forensics team.

James Ramsey, DHS science teacher

Funds will help replace and replenish necessary items in the science labs.
