DSEFAA presents check to those who received educator grants

Danville Schools Education Foundation and Alumni Association Secretary Gail Wright and Treasurer Loudetta Robertson announced at Monday's board of education meeting that the following educators have been awarded grants for student projects, field trips and other opportunities: 

  • Gifted and Talented Coordinator Shelli Engler
  • Danville High School and John W. Bate Middle School Drama Teacher Darell Rickmers
  • DHS Special Education Teacher Katie Newton
  • DHS English Teacher Lois Sepahban
  • Mary G. Hogsett Primary School Speech Pathologist Amber Driver
  • Hogsett First Grade Teacher Dakota Yates
  • Hogsett First Grade Teacher Diana Oliver 
  • Hogsett Music Teacher Heather Gover
  • Edna L. Toliver Intermediate School Special Education Teacher Karen Tompkins

Educator grants through the DSEFAA this year total approximately $3,288.
