Danville Independent Schools

COVID-19 Flow Chart Jan. 19, 2022

Please review the flow chart for the most current guidance on how Danville Independent Schools is handling positive COVID-19 cases and exposures. A PDF of the flow chart is available here.

This chart was updated according to guidance from the Kentucky Department for Public Health and the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, as well as the Boyle County Health Department.

Please note that Danville Independent Schools practices universal masking due to Boyle County’s current COVID-19 incidence rate using data from the KDPH. Therefore, the district is subject to guidance for districts that practice universal masking.

It is up to the district's contact tracer to determine when quarantines are needed and for how long on a case-by-case basis.

In the district, contact tracing will continue to take place after exposure so individuals and families can be notified of the exposure.

When  returning back to school from isolation/quarantine, individuals are to bring proof that they have tested negative for COVID-19 or that they are released by a medical professional to return to school. A strict mask policy will be in place for these individuals and must be enforced.

All COVID-19 guidance is subject to change. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this uncertain time.
