Danville High School students were winners in the "Lights, Camera, Save!" video contest hosted by Farmers National Bank on behalf of the American Bankers Association.

Students learn about financial education by creating contest videos on subjects such as saving, budgeting, financial planning and avoiding scams. DHS student Angel Aquino came in first place for students from the Boyle County area winning $500.

He will advance to the next round of competition against student videos from other local counties. That will be announced in early January, and the winner will advance to the national competition with a chance to win $5,000. Angel came in 3rd place in the nation in last year's contest. Fellow DHS student Brynn Haden-McCowan received an honorable mention in the contest.
