Danville High School has two dedication ceremonies coming up; the baseball field will be named after Paul Morse, and the tennis courts will be named after Jay Reynolds. 

The dedication ceremony for the baseball field will be at the field on April 15 at 5:50 p.m., before the home game vs. Boyle County. The ceremony for the tennis courts will be on April 20 at the courts at 6 p.m., before the home game vs. Mercer County. 

As a student athlete at Danville High School, Morse earned All-State and All-American honors, was named Kentucky Player of the Year and Kentucky Athlete of the Year, and set multiple state and national records as a pitcher and hitter. He went on to play at the University of Kentucky and professionally with the Minnesota Twins, Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels. 

Morse was DHS head coach from 2000-2022, and during that time he compiled an excellent record and led championship teams. He has been inducted into the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame and the Danville Athletics Hall of Fame. 

Reynolds was head coach of the DHS girls tennis program from 1980-2009. The team achieved an extraordinary record of regional success, including championships and runner-up finishes.

He also guided several athletes to regional titles in singles and doubles competition. The achievements the team made were consistent throughout his nearly three-decade career, showing his consistency as a coach.
