Danville High School has a new interim athletic director, C.J. Lynn. Lynn is a 2006 DHS alumnus who has served in the district the past four years as an assistant baseball coach and teacher.

Lynn was on the DHS football and baseball teams as a student. He was part of the 2003 State Championship Football Team and 2004 State Football Runner-up Team.

He was a four-year starter as the catcher on the baseball team. During his senior year, the team won the regional title for the first time since 1989.

Before returning back to Danville four years ago, Lynn spent seven years as the head baseball coach and assistant football coach at Garrard County High School. There, he led the 2015 Golden Lions Baseball Team to a district title and their first regional championship appearance since 1985.

Lynn is married to Bridget Lynn. They have two sons, Kasen Lynn (second-grader at Edna L. Toliver Intermediate School) and Bodie Lynn.

"I am very humbled and honored to be named the athletic director at my alma mater," Lynn said. "I hope I can give back to Danville athletics as much as it has given to me.  Go Ads!"
