Stephanie Blevins

Stephanie Blevins is the new finance and human relations director for Danville Independent Schools.

“I am honored to work within a system that positively affects young people on a daily basis,” she said. “Regardless of the background of a child, we will strive to provide them every opportunity to obtain their potential and succeed. With the many demands school staff have, it is my goal they can focus on teaching and mentoring students daily through a supportive HR program and strong financial base.”

Blevins comes to the district from Heart of Kentucky United Way, where she was the executive director for 12 years. She brings vast experience in preparing and managing a budget, using financial software, directing HR functions and community fundraising to her new position with Danville Schools.

“Prior to HKUW, I have been a University of Kentucky Extension Agent and Specialist,” she said. “My responsibilities included securing funds, the financial management of programs, and budgeting. I obtained a BA, Masters and Ph.D. from UK.”

Blevins was born and raised in Danville. She and her husband, Brent Blevins, have two children, Grant and Griffin, who both live in Charleston, South Carolina.

“In my free time, I enjoy road biking, kayaking and traveling,” she said.
