At Monday's Danville Independent Schools Board of Education work session, Boyle County Judge-Executive Trille Bottom swore in Kent Mann as the newest school board member.

Additionally, the board approved its meeting calendar for 2023.

A notice of board vacancy was also on the agenda, and now the board is actively seeking applicants to fill the vacancy. 

The board also unanimously voted to table the decision to elect a chair and vice chair until the vacancy on the board is filled.
