“It’s Family First and Family Last and Family By and By” at Danville High School this week as the DHS Theatre program presents “The Addams Family, School Edition” Thursday, April 24, Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m. in the Gravely Hall Performing Arts Center. The character Wednesday has fallen in love, turning family relationships upside down. The Beinikes (future in-laws?) have been invited for dinner, and it is anything but “One Normal Night” at the Addams Family mansion. Gomez is keeping secrets and Pugsly tries to keep his sister from changing while Morticia attempts to figure out just what’s going on. Words of wisdom are heard from Uncle Fester, who takes a journey to explore love. See who’s really “Crazier Than You” in this creepy and kooky adventure where family dynamics take center stage. 

Twenty talented DHS students take the stage with many more running backstage, designing sets, props, costumes, hair and makeup. It’s a spring musical romp. We hope that your family can join us as our students dance, sing and act their way through the ever-changing story, first popularized by Charles Addams, in 1938 as a cartoon and brought to life on TV and film ever since.
