It’s official — Danny Goodwin is now the principal of Edna L. Toliver Intermediate School. He was selected as interim principal in late July. Toliver's School-based Decision Making Council (SBDM) made the decision to select him as principal today, Aug. 10.
Angie Barnes, who has served as an interim principal at John W. Bate Middle School in the past, will be the interim assistant principal at Toliver.
“I’m humbled and honored to be trusted with leading Toliver Intermediate School as the principal,” Goodwin said. “Working with our staff and families really is a joy for me and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.”
Emily Reece, who is a teacher representative on Toliver’s SBDM, said about the selection, “We are very excited to have Danny as our principal here at Toliver. He’s a huge asset to Toliver. He has been his entire time here, and I think we’re all very excited to see the amazing things that he’s going to do and the direction that he’s going to lead Team Toliver.”
