The focus of the Counseling Department at Danville High School is to assist all students with support and assistance in the development of their academic, career and personal/social skills.

The Counseling Department of Danville High School works as advocates to remove barriers that limit the academic success of our students. We advocate for student's educational needs by providing leadership, resources, and counseling, so students have increased opportunities to achieve success in high school. Counselors work as a team in conjunction with teachers, administrators, parents, and community members to assist students in the achievement of their goals.

The school counseling program mission aligns with the mission of Danville Schools:  "It is our purpose to educate all students to become productive and responsible citizens through excellent academic and social education in a respectful, safe environment."
