DHS Concert Band Earns Distinguished Rating

On Friday the DHS concert band performed at the KMEA Concert Festival in Richmond at the EKU Performing Arts Center, where they received a distinguished rating on their performance and a distinguished rating on sight-reading, earning them an overall rating of distinguished.    Sight-reading is playing a song they have never played before and having 5 minutes to prepare for the performance. They will perform these selections on May 1st in Gravely Hall at 7:00 pm for anyone who would like to attend.  I'm very pleased with their outstanding performance and their hard work and dedication. If you see these students please congratulate them on a distinguished performance.
