DANVILLE HIGH SCHOOL DRESS CODE
 
Necklines must be within 4 inches of the neck on front, back and sides. Length must be long enough so that no part of the torso is shown at any time. · Shirts/tops/blouses must have sleeves (2” minimum from shoulder seam). · Tank tops, muscle shirts, transparent shirts, backless shirts and garments with spaghetti straps must be worn at all times over or under another shirt that is acceptable. · Pants/trousers/jeans must be worn at waist level with no flesh or undergarments showing. · Pants/trousers/jeans are not to have tears, holes or worn places above the knee at any time. · No knee length shirts or jerseys. · Hats/hoods/caps/toboggans/bandanas/scarves/sweat or headbands are not to be worn in the building during regular school hours from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Exceptions can be made on days designated by Administration (i.e., hat day). · No wallet chains or heavy chains or any kind of spike necklaces or spike bracelets will be worn (safety reasons). · Sunglasses are not to be worn. · Students must wear shoes during the school day. · Articles of clothing that have profane/vulgar words or emblems written or printed on them are not allowed to be worn. · Articles of clothing that in the opinion of school officials promote or advertise alcohol, drugs, weapons, violence, hate or graphics that are deemed objectionable may not be worn. · Shorts/skirts/dresses must go to fingertips or longer with no split on the side. Dress necklines must be within 4 inches of the neck on front, back and on the sides. Consequence of Dress Code Violations: Immediate Correction AND Detention.
