Introducing Mrs. Green…

I am thrilled to be teaching first grade at Jennie Rogers Elementary. Making personal connections always helps students feel involved and even more important. Here is some information about myself that they may find interesting… My husband and I were born and raised in Kentucky but after getting married in 2003 we moved north to the mitten state (Michigan). We spent four years there and then headed to the heat of Texas so my husband could accept his dream Industrial Design job and I could return to school to pursue my dream of teaching. In 2009 we welcomed our first child, Lincoln, into our hearts. He is now three years old and growing into his larger than life personality. In the fall of 2010 I graduated with High Honors from the University of Texas at Dallas with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and a teaching certification in Early Childhood through 6^th grade. I was able to start gaining my educational experience in Allen, Texas. This summer we took a leap of faith and moved back to our home state where we can be closer to our families and continue our dreams. It is now my privilege to teach, nurture, and support your child in the 2012-2013 school year.
