Computer Lab
Hogsett is very fortunate to have an up-to-date computer lab with 27 networked computer workstations. All of the computers have Internet access. Each student and staff member has a unique login and a directory in which to store files on the network. The lab is equipped with 2 networked printers -- a LexMark T614 black laser printer and an HP4700 color laser printer. There is also a mounted projector and screen in the lab that allows for interactive lessons using an airliner.
Hogsett now has a second computer lab that teachers and students will visit during a scheduled time to work with Lexia and Dreambox. Both labs were just recently updated with new headphones and hangers for the headphones so that our labs stay neat, tidy, and clean.
Every homeroom from Kindergarten through 5th grade now has Computer lab as part of their specials classes rotation. Students are seen in the lab for class once a week. Mrs. Hammond will be integrating classroom subjects into the computer lab each week as well as teaching students new software and helping them become more comfortable with technology.
