Student Technology Leadership Program

STLP is a project-based learning program that empowers students in all grade levels to use technology to learn and achieve. STLP was established in 1994 by the STLP State Advisory Council. Student-designed projects, products and services are created to help the school and community.

This year at Jennie Rogers, the STLP program is open to 3rd and 4th grade students after school.  Fifth graders are working on a project during Computer Lab.  Eight students will compete at the Regional STLP Showcase in Somerset, KY on November 20th.

2012-2013 STLP Projects

Lego Animation Stations- we were given a grant by the Danville Schools Education Foundation for two ipads.  We are using the istopmotion app to create lego animations for our school on topics such as: internet safety, bullying, and school procedures.

Edmodo- 5th graders are using Edmodo to create book reviews.  They will also be using the ipads in their classroom in order to choose books to read based on the Edmodo book reviews.
