All students in Danville High School's graduating class participated in the annual College and Career Signing Day yesterday, May 21 at Danville High School.

The class of 2015, comprised of 116 students, now prepare to take the skills they learned at Danville Independent Schools into the world, where they plan to pursue post-secondary degrees or begin their careers. The Class of 2015 has earned over $400,000 in scholarships for next year, totaling $1.6 million over four years.

"The cornerstone of our innovation plan is to prepare students for college and career success.  This is a k-12 initiative.  Fortunately, we at DHS see the finished product, and we are going to absolutely celebrate each of the accomplishments.  Each of these students now has a post-secondary ticket, and that is due to his/her hard work and the dedication of our fine staff.  Our goal is for 100% participation in future years.  We know that is going to take more intentional work and for us to continue to find ways to personalize the learning experience.  I couldn’t be more proud of this fine group of Admirals.  They have set a standard for future classes.  It was so wonderful to acknowledge this group in front of the student body.  I can’t wait to hear about and see all of the individual accomplishments in store for the Class of 2015.  It’s great to be an Admiral," Principal Aaron Etherington said.
