THE CIRCLE OF LAUGHS” at Danville High School

Danville High School presents “The Circle of Laughs,” debuting April 24th- 26th. The one- act comedy festivals follows four stories including 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse (by Don Zolidis), The Actor Games (by Wade Bradford)and Variations on the Death of Trotsky (by David Ives)All shows begin at 7:30pm at Gravely Hall Performing Arts Center in Danville High School.

10 Ways to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse certainly didn’t inspire the song “The Circle of Life” but it does hilariously capture the comical side of the end of the world and puts an amusing perspective on fighting zombies for your life. Similarly, The Actor Games- a parody based on the Hunger Games- puts an emphasis on survival… for your acting career! All auditions are illegal and the world is divided into districts. Meryl, a citizen of the district High School Drama, hopes the odds are in her favor as she fights for the chance to be a star.Variations on the Death of Trotsky retells the unfortunately entertaining story of the Russian’s death day and his attempt to simply cope with an axe in his head.

Tickets for The Circle of Laughs are only $5 each and are available beginning Monday, April 21st in the Danville High School office during school hours. For more information about the show or tickets, call 936-8416.
