College and Career Readiness

The College-Readiness Assessments:

ACT--a required exam given to all eleventh graders

Kentucky Online Testing (KYOTE)--is used to evaluate college readiness in reading, writing, and math skills. It may be used to assess students not meeting the ACT college-readiness benchmarks in these areas.

Career-Readiness Assessment:

--multiple-choice test used to determine qualification for enlistment in the U.S. armed forces (Academic).

Industry Certifications--Students completing two courses in a career pathway and enrolled in a third course (Preparatory) may qualify to test for an industry certification (Technical).

KOSSSA--assess Preparatory students' employability and occupational-specific skills (Technical).
