The Danville Schools Heritage Area Strings program begins after school classes in October 2013! Sponsored by the Danville Schools Education Foundation this class is offered free of charge for any 3rd, 4th   or 5th grade student who wants to learn to play the violin, viola or cello. Classes meet twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:15 – 4:15 in Toliver Elementary School’s music room. There will be an initial meeting of interested parents and students Friday October 18th at 5:30 at Toliver. Please use the side rear entrance to the music room. Students learn their instrument through a variety of exercises, games, and practice in a nurturing and fun environment performing twice a year in the winter and spring.
