During the month of April, the Danville Behavior Cadre developed many ways to enhance the awareness of Autism with administrators, teachers, and aides in the schools.  Below are some of the events organized and a brief explanation. 
 
 
Cupcakes from Twisted Sifter: Twisted Sifter agreed to partner with the Danville Independent and Boyle County Schools to raise awareness about Autism!   Forthree Fridays, orders for teachers at each school were collected.  Twisted Sifter then made the cupcake for us and they were delivered to the schools.  All profits collected went to purchase books about Autism for each school

Cookies and Pins for all Teachers:  The Danville Behavior Cadre decided to spread the news about Autism by making April 9th through the 13th "Autism Awareness Week" in the Danville Schools.  Each day during that week, different things were given to teachers to inform about Autism.

Tuesday: Jeans Day-Teachers Wear Jeans for $1-money goes to buy books
Wednesday: Cupcake orders taken
Thursday: Cookies
Friday: Cupcakes delivered to schools and enjoyed by teachers!

303 W: Another local business in town, 303 W, partnered with the Danville Schools to increase awareness about Autism and the Danville Behavior Cadre.  Every Monday through Thursday during the month of April, 303 W offered 15% of the bill total to the Danville Behavior Cadre when a golden ticket was presented. This money was used to buy resources about Autism for each school
