Cradle School

 

 

 
Cradle School is a hands-on parenting program for parents and their children ages birth to four years old. Funding for this program is provided through a grant from Community Collaboration for Children. Parents and children attend Cradle School together. The Parents As Teachers curriculum is utilized along with other early childhood training programs. Each group meeting of Cradle School includes a parent education class, developmentally appropriate activities for the children, parent and child time together to practice developmentally appropriate activities and adult literacy training.
 
WHEN: Tuesdays from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm
WHERE: First Baptist Church - 1570 North Danville By-Pass
TRANSPORTATION: Provided if you live within the Danville School District
PARTICIPATION: Open to residents of any county
 
Participants also receive two in-home visits per month by a Parents As Teachers certified staff member to help parents utilize the skills they have learned in their home. To register contact Mary Wells at 936-8537. Enrollment at each session is limited to 12 families and you must attend all sessions for the full program time if you are registering.
The Cradle School program is sponsored by Families First Family Resource Center.
