Danville will be offering tennis lessons for the Danville students. The classes are being taught at the Bate Tennis Courts by professionals from the Lexington Tennis Club. The lessons are on Tuesday and Wednesday and run June 4th - July 10th. Click on the picture to download an application.
On Saturday, May 18th, from 11:00-1:00 our wonderful community partner Southland Christian Church is providing a FREE Block Party for all Jennie Rogers families. There will be hotdogs, chips, popcorn, snow cones, and drinks for everyone along with inflatable games like Pop-A-Shot, Slip and Slide, cornhole, and more!

As you might have heard, super exciting opportunities are in the works for our students in Danville. This year, as part of our focus on making sure students are not just ready for their next step, but that they are prepared in a way that helps to ensure success, students at key transition points – grades 5 and 8 – will complete a college-like application as well as a Transition Presentation of Learning. Preschool Registration & Screening will be held May 16, 17 and 20. All screenings will be held at Hogsett Elementary. Children must be four (4) years old by October 1, 2013. Screenings are available for 3-4 year olds. For an appointment time or for more information please call Louellen Turner at the Danville Board of Education (936-8513).
