My name is Shelly Lawrence and this is my first year teaching at Danville High School.   I taught in the Dayton Public Schools for the past four years and I recently moved to Danville from Dayton, Ohio.  I attended the University of Dayton for my undergraduate degree and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts. I continued my education at the University of Dayton and received a Masters in Art Education. My goal as an art teacher is to expose my students to as much real art and real artist materials as possible.  I believe there must be a strong respect for creativity, individuality, and self-expression in the art room.  There are no mistakes or I can’t in art.
