Danville High Baseball Coach to be Inducted Into the Hall of Fame

Danville High School baseball coach Paul Morse has been selected to be inducted into the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame on January 17. He would like to thank all his former and present players and assistant coaches. “They deserve all the credit” states Coach Morse. DHS Soccer Teams Receive Academic Award

Congratulations to both the Danville High school boys and girls soccer teams who earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award. A total of 329 soccer teams (136 boys, 193 girls) from throughout the United States have earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2013-14 academic year. Among these programs are 51 schools receiving honors for both their boys and girls teams. To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player's GPA, then dividing by the number of players.   READ MORE...
Jennie Rogers and Toliver STLP Teams Advance to State

Toliver and Jennie Rogers entered two showcases each at the regional Student Technology Leadership Program competition last week in Somerset. Each showcase team was interviewed by a panel of judges and had to present their project in a time frame of 10 minutes. We are happy to announce that all four showcases advanced to the state competition in March. In order to advance, each showcase had to receive 85 points out of 100 on a pre-established rubric. DHS Cheerleaders Finish 1st at Regional Competition

Hogsett Student's Art Work Chosen For Traveling Exhibit

We are excited to announce that one student from Hogsett Elementary School was chosen to be a part of this year’s VSA Student Traveling Art Exhibition. This is such a great honor! There were only 28 art pieces representing 20 school systems that were chosen this year. The artwork will be displayed at the 2014 Kentucky Exceptional Children’s Conference at the Galt House in Louisville and at the Capitol Plaza Tower in Frankfort during Youth Art Month in March 2015. We have requested that the art exhibit be at Hogsett for a week as well. Congratulations to Hogsett Kindergartner, Brooklyn Null!  READ MORE...
